New Adhesive for Food Contact Applications - FDA & EU 10/2011 Compliant
PERMABOND® ET5162 has been formulated to comply with both FDA 175.105 and EU 10/2011 food contact regulations.
It is a two-component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive, which offers excellent performance on stainless steel and has better temperature resistance than standard two-part epoxies. It can bond a wide variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, composites, certain plastics and ceramic surfaces. ET5162 has a pot-life of approximately one hour and while the adhesive does cure at room temperature, cure speed can be accelerated by applying heat.
As this product is compliant with food contact regulations, it is ideally suited to bonding applications in catering equipment such as:
· Food and beverage manufacturing equipment and machinery
· Kitchen fittings
· Coffee machines, drink, ice cream and smoothie dispensers
· Sieves, strainers and filters
· Utensils and white goods
The material is supplied in cartridges for use with static mixing nozzles, making application very easy. Bulk is available for use with automated dispensing systems.
Available is 10 x 50ml cartridges, 6 x 400ml cartridges, 5kg and 20kg bulk packaging. Shelf life: 12 months 5-25°C.
